MDFA U16 Youth League: Round-up (6th Jan)

7th January 2017, Mumbai: The ongoing MDFA – Mumbai District Football Association U-16 Youth League witness a total of seven matches on 6th January at YMCA Ground. Bombay Gymkhana, Football Leaders wins while Mumbai Warriors, Sterling Das suffered defeats. Here is the Round-up:

Group D – Football Leaders (Sarthak Singh 2 and Rugved) 3-0 Sterling Das FC

In the Group D match, Football Leaders played Sterling Das FC in an eventful clash at YMCA Ground. Football Leaders displayed a clinical performance to win the match 3-0 without any complications. Sarthak Singh bagged a brace while Rugved scored the third goal which completed a memorable victory.

Bombay Gymkhana (Rosh Rodrigues hat-trick, Mir Mehta 2, Krish Sanghavi 2, Krish Bajaj, Dev Gupta, Armaan and Subhan) 11-0 Salsette 

The biggest result of the day was Bombay Gymkhana’s 11-0 whopping victory over Salsette which stole the headline completely. Rosh Rodrigues scored a fine hat-trick while his partner-in-crime Mir Mehta, Krish Sanghavi scored twice. Krish Bajaj, Dev Gupta, Armaan and Subhan also got on the scoresheet in a memorable victory.

Group B – Palkaya (Vilas and Pasha) 2-2 Bombay FC (Yash and Dev)

In a closely-contested match, Palkaya and Bombay FC played out a 2-2 draw in Group B encounter. Vilas and Pasha scored for Palkaya, whereas, Yash and Dev scored one each for Bombay FC where both the outfits shared the spoils.

Other results: Group A – Our Lady of Fatima 0-0 Amigos, Group E – Franco Sports Club 0-1 Indian Football Academy (IFA), Group G – Goans (Samar and Yashodhar) 2-0 Mumbai Warriors, Group C – Hedgewar Boys (Nitesh More 4′ & 21′) 2-0 RVSS.
