MDFA 2nd Division: ICL U-19 tame Athens XI 5-0
Indian Cultural League (ICL) Under-19 produced a five-star performance and romped to a fluent 5-0 win against Athens XI in a Second Division match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League 2018-2019, and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel. The highlight of ICL’s big win was striker Adveya Male who notched up a fine hat-trick while Alfred Palan got the other two goals to complete the winning tally of goals.
In a keenly contested encounter, Shastri Nagar FC rode on Steve Varghese’s line strike to overcome The Sports Gurukul 1-0 to collect all the three points.
Results – Div-II: Anushakti Nagar SA 2 (Prem Shinde, Prashant Singh) beat Miners SC 1 (Joseph D’Cruz).
