Leonce Dodoz joins Mohammedan Sporting Club for CFL

The Ivorian attacker was one among Aizawl’s key players last season.

Mohammedan Sporting Club have managed to secure the services of Ivorian forward Leonce Dodoz ahead of the Calcutta Football League, which is slated to start on July 18th.

The 26-year-old attacker was one of Aizawl’s standout player last season. Despite Aizawl failing to defend their crown, Dodoz displayed a commendable performance and was a menace for the opponents throughout the previous season.

Leonce Dodoz is blessed with tremendous pace and physique, which makes him a tough nut to crack for the opponents. As he has already proved his mettle in the I-League, his inclusion into the Mohammedan Sporting Club’s roster will certainly bolster their attacking department.

Leonce Dodoz made 18 appearances for Aizawl and managed to bag 4 goals to his name. He exhibited a great show in the Super Cup match against Chennaiyin FC, where Aizawl won the game via penalties.

However, Leonce Dodoz, who recently extended his stay with Aizawl FC, will return back to the I-League outfit once the CFL ends, Football Counter has learnt.

Mohammedan Sporting Club are also in talks with few other foreigners ahead of Asia’s oldest tournament. East Bengal are the defending champions and Mohammedan S.C will be aiming to dethrone them this time.
