KSC to face Udaya SC in Ramanath Payyade League final

30th March 2018, Mumbai: Karnataka Sports Club (KSC) is all set to play Udaya SC in the final of 22nd Late Shri Ramanath Payyade Memorial Football League Tournament 2017-18, tomorrow at Cross Maidan, KSA Ground (Churchgate). Both the outfits have made their way into the final after involving in some of the nervy encounters of the tournament.

This is how the tournament has fared:

Pool A: Mogaveera SC, Uchil United, Karnataka Sports Club (KSC) and Jai Hind.

Pool B: Satya Vijaya, Udaya SC, Star of Canara and Mangalore Blues

Karnataka Sports Club, Udaya SC, Satya Vijaya SC and Mangalore Blues were the four teams that made it into the last four after a terrific performance in the Group games. In the first semi-final, KSC defeated Satya Vijaya 5-4 on penalties after the match ended 2-2 in normal time, whereas, Udaya SC had to cross the same path as KSC did after edging Mangalore Blues 5-4 on penalties after the score was locked at 1-1.

Before Karnataka Sports Club (KSC) face Udaya SC in the final, Mangalore Blues will face Satya Vijaya to determine who is the third best club of the tournament. Currently, Mogaveera SC is the defending champions who have won the last two editions.
