Chinese Taipei have named their 23-men squad for the upcoming India tour with no major changes from the squad that defeated Singapore in their last International game.

Chinese Taipei players after winning the CTFA 2017 International Tournament

While the All Whites have sent in their developmental squad for the tournament, Chinese Taipei have sent in their best possible squad as they are set to depart for India on 28th of May. Chinese Taipei will face host India in the opening game of Hero Intercontinental Cup on June 1 at Mumbai Football Arena

While the Indian team has managed to qualify itself for the 2019 Asian Cup, Chinese Taipei fell short by 1 point in their bid to their first Asian qualification. However the disappointment didn’t last long as Chinese Taipei came stronger in the subsequent CTFA International Tournament back in December 2017, where they emerged as winners defeating the likes of Philippines, Timor-Leste and Laos. This was followed up by a win against Singapore in their last AFC group game.

In the last one year, Chinese Taipie has won seven games while losing just three, with one of the wins coming against a strong Bahrain side during the AFC Asian Cup qualifications. While based on the rankings, India are the strongest side Chinese Taipei squad has the potential to pull off an upset.

The 23-man squad list sees no major changes from the side that defeated Singapore in the last international encounter.
