Elite Division nominations for MDFA Awards Night 2018

For the very first time last year, MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) – Mumbai’s football governing body, held MDFA Awards Night in the month of May at the iconic Cooperage Stadium. Prominent personalities who were present at the function included, MDFA Chairman, Aditya Thackeray, two-time Olympian goalkeeper S.S. Narayan, Jaffer Bhai, Proprietor Delhi Darbar, Sunil Kapoor, Chairman & MD, Blue Sea Banquets, Suzanne Chowdhry, a football enthusiast and Souter Vaz, Hon. Secretary, WIFA to name a few.

The very sole reason to host this event was to grace all the clubs and players for dedicating their time towards the beautiful game and the development of football in the city of dreams. Of all the clubs and players, the best ones were felicitated in each position from their respective divisions. This year, the MDFA Awards Night is back again which will be held on 30th April 2018, at Cooperage Stadium.

MDFA Elite Division

Winners: ONGC and Runners-up: Air India

Here is the nomination for the top-most division in Mumbai football.

GK: Billfang (ONGC), Vivek Tiwari (PIFA), Praveen (Air India), Abhishek Singh (Mumbai Strikers)

DEF: Dion Menezes (UBI), Arvind Raj (Air India), Tejas Raut (Air India) and Ben (ONGC)

MID: Valentine Pereira (UBI), Lalmuanpuia (ONGC), Lineker Machado (Western Railway) and Advait Shinde (Air India)

FWD – Pratik Koli (Air India), Ranjeet Pandre (UBI), Himket Dhamre (MS Police) and Rinaldo Fernandes (Air India)
