Sahyadri losing their opportunity to earn all three points

Sahyadri

Sahyadri KM were held to a 0-0 draw by Theresarian Football Academy in their Mumbai District Football Association(MDFA), Super Division match at St Xavier’s Ground, Parel.

Going into the match it was clear that Sahyadri needed to win the game at any cost in order to battle relegation. Nothing more than three points were needed. Both teams made a good start but it was Sahyadri KM that showed a bit more urgency in attack looking to take an early lead. On the other hand, Theresarian FA were compact at the back and did not lose shape preventing a let off of goals. The match looked evenly balanced at the half as it ended 0-0 at the break.

In the second half, Theresarian FA started sharper of the two in attack looking to take an early lead. Both keepers had a busy time in the second half with a couple of really good saves. The elusive goal for Sahyadri failed to occur courtesy of some resolute defending at the back from Teresarian FA. The game produced some late drama with both teams looking for the winner. But it were the keepers who stood firm in front of goal and earned a point for their sides.

For Theresarian FA, this is a good point earned but for Sahyadri, it was a lost opportunity to grab all three points.
