Rhema Sports Foundation were held to a 1-1 draw

MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association)

Rhema Sports Foundation were held to a 1-1 draw in their Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA), Super Division match at St Xavier’s Ground Parel on Friday, March 24th, 2017.

The match can be described as a game of two halves wherein both the teams almost had the same philosophy of playing. Both teams opened with a lot of flares however, it was Rhema SF who capitalised on the mistake made by Serco and took the lead. Number 9. Guruprasad Borhade put the Rhema side in front in the 11th min. As it looked like they were going to double their lead, Serco levelled the proceedings just 6 minutes after the opener. No 3. Aditya Gidwani scored the equaliser making the first half an intense affair. But both team defences stood firm and the match went into the break level at 1-1.

In the second half, both sides followed a cautious approach and were in no mood to let goals in. In the midway, through the second half, both the keepers made some crucial saves to keep their side in the game. In the end, an extra attacking half was neutralised by an ultra defensive second half as the match ended 1-1.

It a good point earned by both sides considering the development in their game and they will be looking to perform better in the next games.
