Round-up of Day 2 of KSA Veterans Football Tournament


KSA Ground, Mumbai: On the second day of ‘The KSA Veterans Football Tournament 2017’, three matches were held which produced a lot of action.

In the first match of the day, RBI took on PNB as they put 3 goals past them and showed their dominance.
Vasant Karkera scored the first goal of the game which gave RBI a reason to play their game with confidence. The second goal soon was scored by Rahul Shinde and the victory was rounded off by the RBI number 9, Altaf Mansoori as he scored the third. This victory should give RBI a lot of confidence going ahead in the tournament.

Maharaja XI 1-1 CSL Colaba
The second game between Maharaja XI and CSL Colaba turned out to be a stalemate as both teams cancelled each other out. Anthony Fernandes scored for Maharaja XI and Nagesh Swami scored for CSL Colaba. Both the goalkeepers were kept busy throughout the game and produced some wonderful saves.

In the third game, SBI and BOI played out a goalless draw as both teams struggled to create the chances during the game. The keepers were on top of the game and were mainly responsible for keeping the score down to 0-0.

All the teams will be looking forward to the coming matches as they will look to seal a berth in the next round of the tournament. The teams will have to produce some wonderful football as the road will only get tougher from here.
