Roger Sam rescues Karnatak SC against Satya Vijaya SC

Mumbai: Karnatak SC and Satya Vijaya SC settled for a 1-1 draw in a playoff match of the 21st Late Shri Ramanath Payyade Memorial Football League Tournament 2016 –2017, conducted by the Karnatak Sporting Association and played at the KSA ground, Cross Maidan.

In an evenly contested encounter, Both sides started the game on a bright note creating an equal number of chances but the defense stood tall at both the end. It was eminent that both sides were reluctant to get that early goal but it was Satya Vijay’s side scored first through Roshan Karmaran In 31st minute.

The midfield functioned well for Satya Vijay as they went into half-time whistle with the 1-0 advantage. The second half started pretty well for Karnatak SC but It was Satya Vijay’s side had first chance at the goal when Roshan Karmaran with one on one chance denied by goalkeeper Gagan Shetty of Karantak SC.

Later in the next minute, Karnatak SC’s Roger Sam scored a brilliant goal in 38th minute and levelled the scoresheet. The Satya Vijay must have regretted their missed chances as they failed to produce the winning goal as the game finished 1-1 at full time.
