Muskaan nets winner for Aadhar Pratisthan
Mumbai: Muskaan Mehra played a stellar role netting the all-important winner, as last year’s runners-up Aadhar Pratisthan started on a winning note recording a narrow 1-0 win against Kenkre FC in a MDFA Women’s League match 2017, and played at the Karnatak SA ground, Cross Maidan on Saturday.
Earlier in the opening match, defending champions Bodyline FC, proved too strong for Mumbai Warriors as they stormed to an emphatic 12-0 win. Prolific goal-scorers Aditi Shetty and Karen Pais led the charge, both scoring four goal each, while Reetika Sahani, Tricia Colaco, Juhi Shah, Rita’cascia Ukachukwu, all chipped in with one apiece to complete Bodyline’s winning tally.
In the third match, Football Leaders SC overcame a fighting Sparks FC by a 2-1 margin. Suman Salian and Karishma Vazarani were bang on target for Football Leaders, while Spark FC pulled one back through Abeer Arsiwala.
