HDFC Bank, Kenkre FC U19 share spoils in 1-1 draw
Mumbai: HDFC Bank were forced to share honours by Kenkre FC Under-19 as they played out a 1-1 draw in a Super Division match of the Mumbai District Football Association League 2016-2017, and played under lights at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel, late on Saturday evening.
Leroy Almeida gave HDFC Bank the lead with a strike in the 72nd minute, but the Kenkre youngsters fought back strongly and managed to find the equaliser through Alok Chauhan in the 82nd minute.
Meanwhile, Colaba Sports Academy enjoyed a great outing as they romped to a facile 5-0 win against Air India Western Region. Striker Rohan Pagdhare netted a brace of goals while Chitresh Tandel, Reval Pagdhare and Dipend Bari, all added one each to complete the margin of victory for the Colaba side.

Div-II (play-offs): Colaba Sports Academy 5 (Rohan Pagdhare 2, Chitresh Tandel, Reval Pagdhare, Dipend Bari) beat Air India Western Region 0.
Tarun Sporting 2 (Ajinkya Umasare 2) beat Shastri Nagar SC 1 (John Fereira).
Rahul Mitra Mandal 2 (Monish Panchal, Atul Patel) beat Juhu Strikers 1 (Kenneth Fernandes).
