Mumbai Warriors & Mumbai Strikers play out a 2-2 draw, Air India U19 crush Century Rayon
Mumbai Warriors held Mumbai Strikers to a 2-2 draw in their Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA), Super Division, playoff match played on Saturday, 6th May 2017 at the Mumbai Football Arena, Andheri SC.
An entertaining Super Division playoff match delivered a four-goal thriller. At the end, it was the Warriors who fought back twice to win a point. Mumbai Strikers looked to be heading towards a win.
Akshay Devadiga opened the scoring for the Mumbai Strikers in the 40th minute. The Strikers led 1-0 at halftime. Yusuf Banky’s strike in the 58th minute levelled things up. The 1-1 score lasted only for six minutes as Akshay netted his second of the match. Just when the Strikers were cruising towards a win, Chinmay Jadhav’s strike in the 87th minute made it 2-2. In the end, The Warriors and the Strikers had to be content with a point.

Air India cruised to a 4-0 win over Century Rayon in their Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA), Super Division, playoff match played on Saturday, 6th May 2017 at the Mumbai Football Arena, Andheri SC.
Troy D’Souza opened the scoring in the 15th minute. While it was Dinku Tomba whose brace made it 3-0 to Air India. The second goal coming in the 27th minute while the 3rd coming in the 69th minute. Advait Shinde added a 4th in the 72nd minute to complete a 4-0 romp of Century Rayon.
Air India U-19 was clearly the better side and controlled the game for the majority of the 90 minutes.
