In the opening game of Junior Girl’s National Football Championship (NFC), Maharashtra Women’s team registered a thumping 11-0 victory against Pondicherry in Cuttack, Odisha to kick-off their group stage campaign on a positive note.
Bhagyashree Dalvi turned out to be the star player as she notched up four goals with a brilliant performance throughout the match. Following Bhagyashree’s brilliance was Aishwarya Jagtap who netted a brace.

Meanwhile, Akanksha Kandalkar, Reetika Sahani, Valencia D’Mello, Shemchui Ningsheng, and Rhea Rodrigues scored one each to complete a fine victory which has placed Kimberly Miranda’s side as group favourites to qualify for the knockout rounds.
