KSA grabs a point against UBI in a 3-3 draw
9th October 2017, Mumbai: The fifth game of MDFA – Mumbai District Football Association Elite Division saw Karnataka Sports Association (KSA) locking horns against an energetic Union Bank of India (UBI) side at Cooperage Stadium.
Another goals-galore followed as KSA snatched a point after going down 3-1 until the 62nd minute. Nascimento Santiago scored twice, whereas, Tarique Ansari scored the other goal for KSA. Meanwhile, Ranjeet Pandre, Shannon Pereira and Scott D’Souza scored apiece for UBI.
UBI came into the match on the back of a brilliant 2-1 win over Western Railway, whereas, KSA suffered a narrow 2-1 lost at the hands of Western Railway on the 2nd Matchday of Elite Division.
UBI’s new signing from Chattisgarh Ranjeet Pandre opened his account with a sublime goal in the 21st minute before Nascimento Santiago levelled the score for KSA ten minutes later.
Shannon Pereira and Scott D’Souza increased UBI’s lead in the second-half as they were looking to win their second match in the row but KSA responded superbly as a goal each from Nascimento Santiago and Tarique Ansari helped them snatch a hard-fought draw.
