Kerala Blasters vs NorthEast United FC: Strength, Weakness, Player to watch
Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kochi will witness the battle of two floundering sides tonight. One from the Northeast, and the other from the south, both teams have well-established fan bases, and to satisfy them, both needs a result no less than a win. Let’s take a look at the Strength, Weakness, and Player to watch out.
Kerala Blasters
Strength
They were bashed by the FC Goa in their previous game, but Rene Meulensteen will be happy to see his side start scoring goals. The goals Kerala has scored so far illustrates us with capability of their wingers to steal the show. Jackichand’s amazing performance in the previous game has caught the eye-sight of many, and Rene will likely rely on these players to run the play in the absence of their star, Berbatov.
Weakness
Defense was their strength till before the game vs FC Goa, but the lethal attackers of the Gaurs knocked at every weakness of their team, and made them futile many times. The performance of Sandesh Jhingan, and Co was at the worst against FC Goa. Adding the woes comes the inexplicable errors made by Paul Rachubka who was rock solid at the back. Rene will motivate his players, and will have to launch the team freshly.
Player to watch
Mark Sifnoes : The young Dutch sensation has already took the hearts many from the Indian football fraternity. His goals for Kerala are the examples of his talent, and potential. His scoring the first goal from Rino Anto cross showed us a poacher in him, while his second, from a Jackichand Singh cross made us realize his touch, and control. With Berbatov out of the squad till the new year eve, Rene will likely employ the service Mark and Iain together to get back to the winning ways.
Northeast United FC
Strength
Their loss against Bengaluru FC was an unfortunate one. However, that silly mistake took all the three points away from them. However, against Kerala Blasters, they’ll look to re-establish the attacking prowess of their players, and the dazzling performance of their wingers tonight could ensure them grab all three points.
Weakness
The goal Northeast conceded against Bengaluru FC was through an unforced error. While we can’t lay the blame Rehenesh, who played the game with injury, the defense could’ve thwarted it before Miku slotting it past Rehensh. The highlander will have rectify this mistake against a team containing pacy, and fatal wingers.
Player to watch out
TP Rehensh : Despite his poor performance against Bengaluru FC, Rehenesh is the one to watch out for the game. With the attackers like CK Vineeth, and Iain Hume adjoining Jackichand Singh, and Mark Sifneos, Rehenesh will have to rise according to the occasion.
