India Rush and Kenkre FC shares spoils, while RFYC trounce IFA

24th November 2017, Mumbai: The sixth matchday of U-15 I-League (Maharashtra Zone) witnessed two games. India Rush played Kenkre FC at the Cooperage Stadium, while Reliance Foundation Young Champs (RFYC) hosted Indian Football Academy (IFA) at Reliance Corporate Park on Friday evening.

In the first match, India Rush made an incredible comeback after being 2-0 down to salvage a 2-2 draw against an energetic Kenkre FC side at Cooperage Stadium. Kenkre FC started on a positive note with key players Nathan Murzello, Mannan Dang, and Rishab Singh causing all sorts of problems for India Rush.

The opening goal came in the 31st minute when a brilliant move was perfectly executed by Nathan Murzello who put Kenkre in front with a fine strike. Kenkre defended their solitary lead and went into the break with a one-goal cushion.

Kenkre soon doubled their lead in the second-half when striker Arya Gandharva pounced on a delightful ball to score his second goal of the campaign. But soon after conceding the second goal, India Rush responded brilliantly in their very own style.

Captain Sujal Ghanekar cut short the deficit after converting from the spot in the 59th minute before substitute Zeeyan Nevrekar levelled the score in the 70th minute to salvage an important point for India Rush, their first of the campaign.

Other results: Reliance Foundation Young Champs (RFYC) 6-2 Indian Football Academy (IFA): Thoi Singh – RFYC (5′, 40′, 44′, 73′ & 90+3′) and Muhammad Parathodi (58′); Shlok Pabale – IFA (39′) and Abhishek Patil (51′)
