Income Tax emerge 3-2 winners in a five-goal Super Division thriller
Mumbai: Displaying plenty of grit and determination, Income Tax SC managed to pull off a close 3-2 win against Springfields SC and played under lights at the at St. Xavier’s ground, Parel late on Monday evening.
Playing the lead role for Income Tax was striker Prathamesh Porwal who scored two goals in the 2nd minute and 89th minute and Pawan Rawant added the second in the 69th minute, while Springfield scored through Akshay Shetty in the 72nd minute and Jabin Pillai in the 81st minute. Another close and crucial win for Income Tax side as the playoffs come calling.
The match did not disappoint as the fans were treated to a five-goal thriller. With four of those five goals coming in the 2nd half and all four after the 60th minute. The game was even although Income Tax led early on but the ending proved to be a roller coaster ride for both set of fans who witnessed a cracker.

It was a good day at the office for Twinkle Stars SC who beat LIC SC 2-0 in the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA), Third Division match held at St Xavier’s ground in Parel.
Twinkle Stars SC blanked LIC SC 2-0 with Zaid Ansari and Noor Shaikh netting a goal each for the winning side.
