Ian Pinto nets winner to take Mogaveera SC into final
Mumbai: Mogaveera SC came out 1-0 winner against Karnatak SC in the decisive playoff match of the 21st Late Shri Ramanath Payyade Memorial Football League Tournament 2016 –2017, conducted by the Karnatak Sporting Association and played at the KSA ground, Cross Maidan.
It was the intense contest between the two side and they were eager to progress to the final. Both sides had their share of chances in front of the opposition goal but a place in the finals was seeming to get on their nerves.
The referee had a bit of tough time in the middle of the pitch during the match. He was also caught between the fire where two teams were seemingly going at each other in a verbal fight. The game remained 0-0 at half time.

The second half started pretty much same as the first one. Both teams’ frontline pushing forward to get the goal. It was Mogaveera SC who scored the lone goal of the match deep into the second half through Ian Pinto. At full time the game ended 1-0 in favour of Mogaveera SC With this Mogaveera SC have confirmed their place in the finals to play on 19th march 2017.
