Hriday Sethi leads the way in RBI 3-0 win over GMSC

MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association)

Mumbai: RBI SC marched towards victory beating GMSC by 3-0 in their Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA), Super Division match held at St Xavier’s ground, Parel on Friday, March 31st, 2017.

The final game on Friday under the lights did not fail to disappoint as there was some breathtaking football action. RBI-SC was clearly the in-form team and were sharp in the final third as they had a good end product of their attacks. Hriday Sethi has been a top man for RBI and he was at the end of a couple of goals that got the team all three points.

RBI was rewarded early in the match when Hriday rounded off a super move in the 10th minute to put them ahead. They doubled their lead in the 19th minute through Abhishek Ambekar. It was Hriday Sethi who got his brace in the 39th minute making it 3-0favouravor of RBI-SC. A huge mountain to climb for GMSC.

The second half did not produce any goals but it did produce some good defending from both sides. GMSC had a couple of good chances saved. RBI-SC were not allowed the space and time on the ball as they were in the 1st half. To everyone’s delight, the second half was a bit more competitive than the first.

RBI SC walked away with all three points thanks to their clinical finishing in the first half. GMSC will look back on a wonderful second half performance and look to bounce back in the next game

FT: RBI-SC 3-0 GMSC
