After teasing about lines, which was correctly interpreted by number of fans as a new jersey launch, for number of days, Bengaluru FC finally launched their new home kit yesterday evening. BFC went back to blue and white home kit instead of Blue with red strips on shoulder of last year. A reminiscent to blue’s first season jersey which had Blue, white along with a red strip in the middle, only this time the red strip in the middle being replaced by white striped lines going till the end.

The jersey was launched on blues social media platforms with hashtags #ourstowrite and pictures of blues star players posing with the jersey along with a 48 seconds promotional video that explained the importance of lines. The Inspirational video explains, “We go looking for stars and to collect them one must draw the lines. It is difficult at first but soon we get good at it. We follow the path laid by the ancestors, turning them into something else. We find that the lines are all around us we just need to connect the dots, to bridge the old and the new. For whatever we think is written, is only just a beginning of a story of our lives. And all these bridges and all these lines and all the stars in the universe, wait patiently for they are ours to write.”

The New Jersey received a positive response from fans with some applauding the creativity and designs. The commercial that was made for promoting the Jersey too received high praise. With the video crossing 58K views on Facebook in just 12 hours which is not what you see quite often among Indian football fraternity for a jersey launch.

Bengaluru FC’s promotional activity has been a hit among their fans. The newest entrant to ISL has been showcasing their new signings in a series of posts giving hints about the player before finally unveiling him. With fans showing quick responses and figuring out the players correctly before the final post, the blues too responded it with a recent trolling of its fan. The various strategies that the club implements for fan engagements have been one of the key reasons for the blues success, a system that many other clubs needs to follow.
