Air India to resume Elite Division campaign today

11th December 2017, Mumbai: Defending Champions Air India is set to resume their MDFA – Mumbai District Football Association Elite Division campaign later today when they will face high-flying M.S (Maharashtra State) Police at Cooperage Stadium.

Today will be Air India’s third game of the season after winning their first (8-1 against Mumbai Strikers) and the second game 2-1 against a tricky Central Bank of India (CBI) side on 16th November 2017 at Cooperage Stadium. Experienced defender Santosh Koli and former Union Bank of India (UBI) striker Pratik Koli scored one each to cancel out Kuldeep Maschi’s penalty in the first half.

Air India will be further looking up to make it three wins in a row when they will lock horns against a spirited MS Police side who has been quite unpredictable this season. So far, MS Police has won 1, drawn 1 and lost 1 in three games. In their previous game, they caused a major upset by edging out Mumbai Customs 2-1 at Mumbai Football Arena, Andheri.

The likes of Bipin Jadhav, Sagar Bhosle, and Akshay Shinde will be key for MS Police, whereas, experienced midfielder and Captain Vijith Shetty, Santosh Koli, Pratik Koli, Aaron D’Costa might cause problems to MS Police. Irrespective of the result, it will be surely a game to watch out for.
