We are prepared for Bengaluru test: Khalid Jamil

Mumbai FC will be welcoming Bengaluru FC today ahead of their HERO I-league clash at Cooperage Stadium. With both the teams yet to defeat each other in their previous I-league encounter, it will be quite interesting to see how both the team’s head coaches, Khalid Jamil and Ashley Westwood will approach the game.

Irrespective of Bengaluru FC’s recent fine form, Mumbai FC’s gaffer Khalid Jamil is positive ahead of this crucial game.

“The preparations for the game have started well, the boys are motivated after the first win. Bengaluru FC are a good team but we have a decent record against them and with home support we hope we can continue the run,” Khalid told the media.

Khalid Jamil also confirmed the return of Steven Dias from injury, who featured from the sideline against Salgaocar SC as the former Indian International was ruled out with an ankle injury. Steven’s recovery means Khalid Jamil has full squad at his disposal against Bengaluru FC, which can prove out to be significant for The Yellow Submarines.

“All players are fit to play against Bengaluru. Steven Dias has recovered from a small injury which made him to sit out the game against Salgaocar,” Khalid told ahead of Bengaluru FC’s game.

Both the sides has met four times, where surprisingly none of them has found the better of each other. The contest on Wednesday between fierce rivals is certain to produce plenty of sparks and excitement and would be worth the trouble to make it to the Cooperage ground to witness all the action.
