Mumbai FC vs Bengaluru FC Head to Head Report

Mumbai FC entertain league leaders Bengaluru FC on Wednesday afternoon at Cooperage in the fourth round of the I-League. Mumbai FC head into the big game with a morale boosting win over Salgaocar on Sunday, and Khalid Jamil and the boys would be looking to kick on their season from here on.
With Mumbai FC vying for top spots in the I-League, the Yellow Submarines would be gunning for a win on Wednesday despite the form and quality of the opposition. However it will be a lot easier said than done with Mumbai FC having drawn all the four encounters with Bengaluru FC in the past.
Overall Head to Head Record
In the four meetings between Mumbai FC and Bengaluru FC, there has been no winner so far as all the encounters have ended in score draws.
A 1-1 draw seems to be the most popular scoreline in these games with three of the four games ended with that score. Those three games also happen to be the last three games between the two sides.
The first game between the two sides ended in an entertaining 2-2 draw.
Head to Head Record at Mumbai FC’s home
The two teams met just once at Cooperage before, which was last season’s game between these two sides. Eugenson Lyngdoh gave Bengaluru a first half lead with a stunning long range effort before a spirited Mumbai FC side restored parity just minutes into the second half. Mumbai FC’s Nidhin Lal pulled of some truly wonderful saves in that game as both teams settled for a point.
The other game between the two teams was a 2-2 draw at Pune’s Balewadi Sports Complex, which was Mumbai FC’s home ground for the 2013/14 season.
Wednesday’s clash will be the fifth game between the two teams and both sides will be equally desperate to draw first blood in this rivalry. Mumbai FC have the home advantage to do that, but Bengaluru FC will surely think otherwise.
