Jupiter and Tata Power ran out as winners in their respective divisions

14th November 2016: Jupiter ran riot against a shaky Sterling Das FA after a thumping 4-0 victory in the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) Group A First Division clash at St. Xavier’s Ground, Parel on Monday evening. Sterling Das FA didn’t look like scoring against an organised unit of Jupiter.

Yamik Holkar scored twice, whereas, Romit Anand and Somit Kakde scored one each to complete a fantastic victory over their counterpart. Jupiter dominated the whole match and kept the majority of the ball possession to inflict the pressure on Sterling Das FA.

Yamik Holkar opened the scoring in the 18th minute which was followed by Romit Anand’s sublime strike in the 28th minute. Somit Kake scored the third goal before Yamik scored his second and Jupiter’s fourth to thump Sterling Das FA 4-0.

The second match of the day saw Tata Power face BEST in the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) Group E Second Division encounter at St. Xavier’s Ground, Parel on Monday evening. A lone goal by Jay Bhagade proved to be decisive as Tata Power registered a narrow victory over BEST.

Both the sides had their fair number of chances to capitalize but almost failed to deliver the final blow on numerous occasions. In the end, it was Jay’s fantastic strike which stood firm to give Tata Power all three points.
