ISL 3: ATK, FCPC play out a tame draw

With the match having no major significance for either side, Both Atletico and FCPC played out a goalless draw wasting number of chances in the either half

Arindam, came up with number of good saves in the game
The home side had flurry of chances missed on either side of half, finally coming out with a point to stay at third position below Delhi on Goal difference while Habas side stayed at sixth position with 16 points.
Both side started with number of changes in the starting lineup. While Bidyananda made his first start for Kolkata Eugeneson completely missed the pune bus with Coach Habas seemingly not in favour of Bengaluru FC midfielder.
The game began with Atletico going forward with number of chances but being repeatedly denied by Pune Custodian. After young Bidyananda’s cross was intercepted by Arindam, the Pune custodian was again up to mark when Javi lara’s curling free kick was parried away for corner.
After ofentse Nato missed his target, Arindam was once again to the stallions rescue when javi lara’s curling effort from distance was punched away by the Pune custodian. The follow up cross from Ruidas was disappointingly headed over by Balencoso who was guilty of missing number of chances throughout the night.
Soon the visitors had chance from a counter but failed to capitalise on it as Ndoye after a good run went for glory instead for cutting the ball in to the middle for an unmarked Lenny and Lucca. Both sides entered the break with nothing on board.

Second half began in a similar fashion with the home side going for attack and missing chances while the Pune side struggled to stitch up any move.
First it was Bidyananda’s flick towards Balencoso that was headed off target not for the first time by the Spaniard, the home side failed to increase the tempo despite dominating most of the game.
Pune almost went up when Substitute Tarore’s first touch almost resulted in goal when the forward took the ball at the edge of the box and shot towards bottom right corner that was kept out by a diving Mello to save the day for the host.
In the 78th minute, Juan Balencoso missed probably the easiest chances ever when Pearson’s shot was blocked by Arindam only for the ball to fell for the lurking Balencoso, but the Spaniard shot the ball over from point blank range as pune survived a big scare.
Both side had a couple of more chances till the end but neither managed to break the deadlock to share the spoils. With the match having nothing to achieve expect for some match experiences for new players, both sides seemed satisfied with the result.
