Regarding ban on FC Goa’s owners, the appeal panel has overruled the respective ban on the owners stating it was the first time and having received the regret letters submitted by the owners and Elano Blumer. The Appeals Panel noted that players, Club officials and all others associated with the League need to display behaviour that is an example for the fans and public.
The Appeal panel has also reduced the financial penalty FC Goa from ? 11crore to ? 6 crore. The amount received will be utilised for investments solely in grassroots development programmes for football in the country.
