Unstoppable Mumbai FC U-17 rip apart Athens XI

Mumbai FC U-17 continued their goals galore in the 2nd Division of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) as they took Athens XI to cleaners in a 6-0 bashing at St. Xavier’s Ground in Prel on Wednesday, 2nd September 2015.

Having dismantled opponents in their previous games, Mumbai FC came into this game as firm favorites. But Athens to were fresh off a win and were expected to give Mumbai FC a game.

But it wasn’t to be their day, as Mumbai FC turned on their style and put six past the hapless Athens XI defense.

Rakesh Kalmakaran and Calvin Barretto were the stars of the show for the Mumbai FC side as both the youngsters racked up hat-tricks to sink Athens XI.

With yet another big win, Mumbai FC U-17 side maintained their 100% start to the Division and having qualified from the 3rd Division last season, look good to make yet another leap upwards come the end of the campaign.

Managed by former Mumbai FC player, Alex Ambrose, the Mumbai FC Young guns have grown from strength to strength and have set a marker in the league. It will be interesting to see how this Mumbai FC side copes with a negative result if at all one is in store for Alex Ambrose’s team this season.
