Supreme F.C breeze past Milan F.C
Supreme F.C defeated Milan F.C by 3-0 in the 3rd division match of MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) at St Xavier’s ground, Parel on 2nd May 2015.
Milan F.C were dominating the first few minutes of the match and it seemed that they would score the opening goal but they quickly lost momentum and Supreme F.C got chances to counter attack.
Milan F.C’s Ishant Ichan in the 4th minute missed a good chance from a free kick as his shot went over the cross bar. It was a long range shot effort from Ishant.
Supreme F.C’s Jolton Fernandez’ weak shot could not make a way into goal in the 12th minute after he received a chip from Ashley Menezes within penalty box. His weak effort was caught by the goalkeeper.
In the 18th minute Supreme F.C defended well when Milan F.C’s Siddhart D. made attempts to score when he snatched the ball rebounded off goalkeeper. Siddhart D. tried to shoot the ball but player from opponent team blocked him and snatched the ball at the right time.
Supreme F.C grabbed the lead in 24th minute when Jahir Kadhir finished from 6 yards as he shot straight on target skipping many players. Jahir Kadhir scored the first goal for his team and made it 1-0.
Another goal came after 2 minutes when Smith Koli smashed from 2 yards to the top corner. He got space and ran along with the ball from midfield and controlled the ball and shot on target. It was a good finish from Smith Koli.
With this the first half ended Supreme F.C were leading the game by 2-0 and Milan F.C who were decent in the first half failed to make attacks as the game progressed.
There was pressure building on Milan F.C and as a result they got few chance in the second half.
In the 31st minute Supreme F.C’s Jahir Kadhir failed to control the ball and as a result his shot went outside the field. He snatched the ball from opponent player and shot it towards the goal but he failed to control the shot and the ball went outside the field. His shot could have earned a goal for his team.
Supreme F.C’s Jahir Kadhir’s efforts were materialized in the 39thminute when he volleyed on target from 6 yards as goalkeeper failed to make a save. Jahir Kadhir bagged two goals in this game with Supreme F.C having a healthy 3-0 lead.
In the last few minutes Milan F.C got many free kicks to score but they failed to rightly turn the chances into goals. In 48th minute Milan F.C’s Hamdan Ansari missed a chance from a free kick as it went in the wrong direction.
With the final whistle the match ended with Supreme F.C winning with 3-0. It was quite difficult for Milan F.C to score after 2 goals by opponent team .
