Steadfast FC scores in the last minute to overcome Dadar XI
A last gasp goal from Steadfast FC proved enough to overcome Dadar XI in their Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) 1st Division clash at St. Xaviers Ground, Parel on 1st December, 2015.
Loardston Soares goal on the 80th minute proved to be the decisive goal as both the outfit lacked finishing touch in the whole match.
Steadfast started off brightly as they kept testing Dadar XI’s goalkeeper Rohit Vishwakarma in the first 40 minutes.
Loardston tried to score through a scissor kick but unfortunately failed to connect the ball. Had that shot connected well it would have been a thunderous strike.
Steafast’s Nihal Salunke was booked for a mistimed challenge, late in the first-half.
Dadar XI missed couple of good chances in the second-half which went onto cost them the match.
Number 7 Loardston Soares was through on goal in the last minute, where he calmly lashed his shot into the net to give Steadfast FC an all important three points.
