Second half KSA surge dismantles Central Railways

Karnataka Sporting Association (KSA) produced a sensational second half display to hand Central Railways a 4-1 thrashing in an Elite Division game of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) on Monday morning.
Central Railways came into the game in fine form with a series of wins in the last months and they seemed to have started from where they left when Krishna Naidu’s strike in the 10th minute gave them the lead.
Despite not creating a host of chances in the remainder of the half, Central Railways managed to cling on to the early advantage till half time. KSA who had been at the wrong end of so many results in the Elite Division needed to dig deep in the second half.
KSA looked an inspired outfit right from the whistle and took the game to Central Railways and were rewarded in the 53rd minute when Nigerian striker, Arihi Uchela got them on level terms.
Central Railways who were rattled by KSA’s surge were shell-shocked four minutes later when Valentine Pereira bagged a second for KSA to put them in front.
Suresh Mendon had weaved his magic at half time and his side were brimming with confidence. Roger Sam who was a substitute for Kalakaar Indians in the CSL yesterday, too got in on the act to put KSA 3-1 up in the 71st minute.
Central Railways who were left completely stunned failed to mount any kind of a comeback as KSA rounded off a spectacular second half performance with a goal deep into added time from Arif Khan who inflicted further misery on Central Railways as the contest ended in an emphatic 4-1 win for KSA.
This was the second time that KSA had come from behind to grab a win and coincidently it came against another Railways side in the shape of Western Railways when a rather milder second half saw KSA run out 2-1 winners over Central Railways’ arch rivals.
