Ruthless Indian Navy take MS Police to the cleaners

Indian Navy Mumbai were in the mood as they made a mockery of the Maharashtra State Police with a 9-1 hammering in the Elite Division of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) at Cooperage in an early morning kick off on 24th March 2015.

Indian Navy who struggled to get their rhythm in their previous outing against G.M. Sports Club had no such issues against MS Police as they took the game to the policemen from the word go.

Priyo Kumar Singh set Navy on their way with the opening goal as Biplab Dhar added to score before Raman Rai got in on the act to make it 3-0 in Indian Navy’s favor.

But the navymen were absolutely ruthless in their approach as Anup Pauly added a fourth before Priyo Kumar Singh scored a fifth goal.

The talented Raman Rai completed his hatrick scoring the sixth and the seventh goals for Indian Navy as MS Police looked completely out of sorts.

Resigned to their fate, MS Police were subjected to more misery as Ajay Kumar scored an eighth before Priyo Kumar Singh completed his hat-trick to make it an embarrassing scoreline of 9-0.

MS Police did manage to get on the score sheet as Nimket Dembre grabbed a consolation on a highly disappointing morning for the State Cops.

The win helped Indian Navy leapfrog MS Police and Western Railways into 8th place in the table as MS Police slipped to tenth place after a second successive defeat.
