Registrations begin for the much anticipated Mumbai Soccer League

Are you fond of the Indian Super League? Has the glamour of the ISL taken you in awe? If yes, then it is your chance to bask in glory. The Mumbai Soccer League presents you with a golden opportunity to feature in its ISL-esque league as a player and also as an owner.

The registrations have begun in full swing for one of Mumbai’s biggest franchise based football league- The Mumbai Soccer League. The MSL is based on the concept of the Indian Super League, where 8 teams will battle it out for the ultimate prize.

The MSL which is scheduled to happen in November, will begin its auction process in September with each franchise having a base price of Rs.15000. The team auctions will be followed by several exhibition matches where the owners will get to see the registered players in action and shortlist their targets for the player auction.

The registrations for players have already started and the organizing team is looking for owners to bid for the franchise teams. So it is time you shrug off any second thoughts and register yourself if you feel you could set the league on fire.

The MSL has some real lucrative prizes on offer with the winning team taking home a bumper cash prize of Rs.60000 along with a handsome piece of silverware. There is joy even for the Runners-Up who will walk home with 40000 worth cash prizes and a trophy.

Individual performances will rewarded by the MSL committee with prizes for the Best Player, the Best Goalkeeper and Top Scorer of the league.

The MSL will be held at the Holy Family School Ground in Andheri East, a venue which sports one of the finest natural surfaces in the city which will allow the best of the players the best possible conditions to showcase what they have got.

Backed by Powerhouse Gym, Bisleri Urza and Zouk Bar & Grill, the league will be spread over five days in the month of November with the 8 teams being divided into two groups, with each team playing six round robin games before four of those teams proceed to the play-offs.

The MSL appears to be a wonderful venture for the growth of local football and promises unparalleled entertainment for football lovers in the city. With no compromise being made, to ensure the most conducive environment for top quality football, the MSL is bound to get big in years to come.
