Rahul Mitra Mandal ride on a Prathamesh Dhumal hat-trick to thump United Brothers

Rahul Mitra Mandal had it easy in the 2nd Division game of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) where they thrashed United Brothers 4-0 at St. Xavier’s Ground in Parel on Saturday, 29th August 2015.

RMM were on the front foot right from the first whistle in the game and it took them just 13 minutes to break the United Brothers’ resilience when Freedon Fernando put RMM into the lead with a fine finish.

With the wind in their sails, RMM continued to put pressure on the United Brothers back line and again found a way past the United Brothers rearguard when Prathamesh Dhumal added a second goal just five minutes later.

RMM were firmly in the driver’s seat early and looked menacing but United Brothers managed to weather the storm and prevent any further damage in the first half.

Second half had a similar pattern to that of the first and United Brothers’ slight resurgence was ended by Prathamesh Dhumal in the 45th minute when he bagged his second goal of the game and made it 3-0 in favour of RMM.

Things got worse for United Brothers when the rampant RMM side went on to add a fourth goal as Prathamesh Dhumal completed his hat-trick in the 52nd minute.

Prathamesh Dhumal was the star for RMM as they got back to winning ways in emphatic fashion with a 4-0 mauling of United Brothers in the MDFA 2nd Division.
