Owais Sayyed’s twin strikes help J.J. Academy thump Bright Star FIS

J.J. Academy High School, Mulund had their second straight win in the play-offs against Bright Star Fellowship international School 4-1 in the MSSA U-16 Boys 4th Division held at MSSA ground on 24th August 2015.

J.J. Academy High School were confident after their 5-0 win over Fazlani L’ Academy Globale and that was visible as Akshit Dave scored for J.J. Academy in the 4th minute of the game. Karanveer Singh followed that with another strike 3 minutes later, not allowing Bright Star to settle in the game.

The only goal for Bright Star came from Rishi Jain while J.J Academy still enjoying a 2-1 lead by the end of first half.

The second half was comparatively slower, while both the teams tried hard to gain ball possession.

Next two goals came from in the 28th and 40th minute respectively. Owais Sayyed chipped the ball over the Bright Star goalkeeper to increase the lead to 3-1 for his 3rd goal this season . The 14 year old didn’t stop at that with another brace after a corner kick found him in the last few minutes of the game.

Both the teams, J.J. Academy and Bright Star didn’t have much of training in a full-sized Football ground which worked against them as the match ended in a J.J Academy winning the game 4-1 over Bright Star Fellowship international school who have two more games to play.
