Mumbai FC and Kenkre FC set to lock horns in U-18 I-League at Cooperage

Mumbai FC U18 side will take on Kenkre FC U18 in their I-League U18 encounter at Cooperage Stadium, Churchgate later this evening.
Both the side are coming into this match following heavy defeats, Mumbai FC U18 lost unacceptably 12-0 to DSK Shivajians FC U18 last week whereas Kenkre U18 side got demolished 7-0 against Pune FC’s U18 side.
With heavy unacceptable defeats, both Mumbai FC U18 and Kenkre U18 will look to bounce back with a win at Cooperage Stadium.
Looking at the past, Kenkre U18 side has a good record against their opponents as they did a double over Mumbai FC U18 in the last season of U-18 I-League, winning both the matches comprehensively. Surely, they will have a psychology advantage over Mumbai today but as the match is played at Cooperage Stadium, things can turn around in Mumbai’s favor too.
Generally teams who belongs from Mumbai like Kenkre FC, PIFA Colaba and of course Mumbai FC struggles compare to other outfits.
Other than Cooperage Stadium at Churchgate there are not enough grounds for Mumbai based clubs to train and practice properly. This has been the issue since years now.
Training and practice are the two utmost aspects a club needs. Not having proper place to do so in Mumbai are also the major drawbacks clubs from Mumbai suffers.
Clubs like Salgaocar FC, DSK Shivajians FC, Dempo SC has a far better faculty at helm compared to clubs from Mumbai. This could be the reason why Mumbai FC, Kenkre and PIFA Colaba struggled earlier this season in U-18 I-League.
Having a proper football ground will not only help Mumbai FC, Kenkre or Colaba but it will also provide other players to promote themselves on big stage. This will help Football grow in terms of quality and quantity and furthermore, clubs from Mumbai will improvised and perform much better on big stage.
Nonetheless, the clash between Mumbai FC U18 and Kenkre FC U18 will surely provide an eye-opener for the spectators as two beloved clubs from Mumbai will be fighting for the bragging rights.
