Mumbai City FC announce Oscar Bruzon’s departure

Oscar Bruzon, Assistant Coach of Mumbai City FC has left his position at HERO Indian Super League’s Cub Mumbai City FC by mutual consent, the Mumbai City Football Club has announced.

Mumbai City FC who are currently lying on fourth in the Indian Super League (ISL) standings released an official statement today in order to inform his departure.

The 38-year-old Spanish took up the role on 15th April, 2015 but unfortunately differences in footballing philosophies led to a shocking departure.

The statement by club CEO Indranil Das Blah which confirmed Oscar’s departure from the club read as follows, “The Club has decided to part ways with Assistant Coach, Oscar Bruzon with immediate effect. There have been differences in our football philosophy and both sides feel it’s best to part ways amicably. The decision is a mutual one. We thank Oscar for all his help and support and wish him all the best for future endeavours.”

Oscar Bruzon further released a statement thanking the club, “Honour means respecting my club, its players, the owners and the fans. I am proud of what I have done for the club in the little time I’ve spent here and I know that the club feels the same way. I would like to conclude by saying that it’s been an absolute honour and matter of pride being part of the Mumbai City FC family.”
