DSK Shivajians prove too strong for gutsy Kenkre FC

DSK Shivajians continues their blistering performance in U-18 I-League 2015/16 as they thumped the U-18 side of Kenkre FC 6-0 on 8th November, 2015 at DSK Dream City Football Field.

Gagandeep Singh, Lalnunsiama, Azaruddin SK, Lallianzuala, Marchstarfield Marbawiang and Sairuat Kima all scored apiece to register their third consecutive victory in this campaign.

Kenkre FC, who lost both of their opening games against FC Pune and Mumbai FC went into the match hoping to get their season back on track and after an exhaustive 90 minutes, Kenkre FC did showed determination which was lacking in their last two matches.

Knowing DSK Shivajians has scored 16 goals in their last two matches, Kenkre FC knew that a single mistake at the back can cost them a whole match.

DSK Shivajians although proved too good for Kenkre FC as the first attempt on target by DSK’s winger Gagandeep Singh curled its way into the left bottom corner, giving home side an early lead in just five minutes.

Six minutes later, Lallianzuala almost scored DSK’s second goal but his lobbed attempt went just over the bar.

Kenkre’s Hamza Shaikh and Aditya Gole had an impressive game at the back. Had not for them Kenkre FC would have given away more goals.

U-18 I-League’s top scorer, Lallianzuala kept threatening Kenkre’s back four as once again managed to test Kenkre’s goalkeeper Manoj Gupta on the 25th minutes, but his low drive was easily saved by the goalkeeper.

DSK struck again on the half an hour mark as Lalnunsiama pounded on a poor clearance inside the box and managed to slot it home from the edge of the box to give DSK a 2-0 lead over Kenkre FC.

Few minutes later, DSK’s Azaruddin SK made it 3-0 as his left foot drive proved too good for Kenkre FC’s goalkeeper Manoj Gupta.

Things went from bad to worse in the additional time of the first-half for Kenkre FC. Yanlalremkia’s delightful through ball found Lallianzuala, who placed his shot in the bottom corner to register DSK Shivajian’s fourth goal of the match.

The second-half was much better from Kenkre FC as they tactically got better and managed to deliver a better performance.

Kenkre FC’s defense who made number of errors in the first-half were well organized in the second-half. Shunthan Pheiray, Hamza Shaikh, Aditya Gole, Ehtheshan had a much improved second-half.

Not only Kenkre’s defense were organized in the second-half but their midfield and attack was good too as they did created numerous chances in the last stages of the match.

Although DSK’s Marchstarfield Marbawiang tapped in his shot perfectly to increase their lead by five goals and seven minutes later Defender Sairuat Kima made it six for the home side to register their third consecutive victory.
