Kalakaar Indians strengthen qualification claim with 4-0 thrashing of Yash Warriors

Kalakaar Indians boosted their qualification chances with a 4-0 mauling of the Yash Warriors in the Colaba Super League encounter held at the Back Gardens Ground in Colaba on Sunday, 24th May 2015.
Golden Tigers’ defeat opened the door for Kalakaar Indians to leapfrog them into the play-off places with a win over Yash Warriors and they got off to a perfect start when Sachin Dhanur opened the scoring for the Reds in the 5th minute.
But Yash Warriors slowly began to impose themselves on the game as they got their passing game going. Kishen Sulegai’s header went inches wide of the far post as he tried to head in a Faisal Sheikh cross in the 19th minute.
Sidhant Jadhav very nearly squeezed in his effort in the 28th minute into the Kalakaar Indians net but his shot went wide of the target to ensure Kalakaar Indians go into the break with a 1-0 lead.
Any hopes of a Yash Warriors comeback were quashed early in the second half when Milind Meher put Kalakaar Indians 2-0 up with just four minutes played in the second half.
The Warriors continued to chase down that two goal deficit And were came close to halving it when a Yash Warriors striker rattled the woodwork midway through the second half.
But it was to be the Indians’ day as Roger Sam sealed the victory with a third goal in the 49th minute to give Kalakaar Indians a healthy 3-0 lead.
Things got better for Kalakaar Indians and Roger Same as the forward scored another goal in the dying minutes of the match to complete a 4-0 thumping of the Yash Warriors.
This huge win boosted Kalakaar Indians’ hoped of making it to the play-offs as they displaced Golden Tigers from the fourth place.
The defeat ended Yash Warriors’ hoped of making it to the play-offs, despite the Warriors being one of the better sides on the ball in this competition, stressing the importance of converting your chances, which Roger Sam and co. have been doing all tournament long.
