Football Counter POTM: Aniket Patil, Swami Vivekanand HS
Aniket Patil the captain of Swami Vivekanand is the Football Counter player of the match. Aniket netted the opening goal of the day for his side in the 7th minute after he dirbbled past the Seventhday defenders and flicked the ball in for the goal.
Aniket who is playing in the MSSA for the 2nd Year in MSSA handled the midfield superbly and created chances for his side with long aerial passes to both the wingers, Sourichis Ghag and Chirag Shetty both of whom scored for thier side later in the second half.
Aniket’s pace and his leadership skills was on full display against Seventhday Ad. team. He occasionally made way for his teammates to build the game and supported instead from thr midfield.
Aniket though was remarkable in the first half but in the second half he looked tired and his teammates took from there as he got replaced in the 40th minute.
Coach Suresh Bhatt, was in praise for this young talent and added, “He is a Hardworking player and I substituted him because, he will be needed in the next match.”
“This Year we would make it to finals,” said determined Aniket as it is his last year in MSSA tournament and he wants to bring glory for his side.
