EISC narrowly overcomes Soccer A-Z

In the last MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) match of the day, ESIC narrowly defeats Soccer A-Z 2-1 with goals from Vinish and Abhishek Babu sealed the match for ESIC.
It took ESIC only two minutes to open the scoring, Vinish’s fantastic left footed strike sailed all the way to left top corner and beat Soccer A-Z goalkeeper Austin to make it 1-0 for ESIC.
This was a start both the teams were looking for. ESIC kept dominating Soccer A-Z, Malcolm long range effort was just kept out by Soccer A-Z goalkeeper Austin, who was surely the man of the match despite Soccer A-Z lost.
Ten minutes later, Manish’s long ball found Hitesh Bangera who saw ESIC goalkeeper coming forward, with this one on one opportunity Hitesh lobbed his effort over the goalkeeper to equalize for Soccer A-Z, a smart finish that proved to be.
In the second half, ESIC increased their game level and started to dominate the match by all means. Numerous of efforts were made but it was surely Austin’s day who was a wall in front of the goal, saving more than ten times in the match.
Malcolm of ESIC was left in frustration after seeing number of his shots being saved by Austin.
But with twenty minutes left, Malcolm’s low drive struck the goal post again but this time his teammate Abhishek Babu didn’t made any mistake and poked the rebound inside the net, making it 2-1 in favor of ESIC.
The amount of times the ball struck the post surely bothered ESIC’s management and players but not even for a moment they got demoralized.
As for the Soccer A-Z’s goalkeeper Austin, it was a tremendous display of goalkeeping. Had not for his display the score line would have been looked much like of a one sided match.
