Determined Young Boys F.C hammer B.P.C.L

Young Boys F.C defeated B.P.C.L 5-0 in the 3rd division match of MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) at St Xavier’s ground, Parel on 4 May 2015.  From the kickoff itself Young Boys F.C were dominating B.P.C.L.

Young Boys F.C’s Avil Khan opened the scoring in brilliant fashion in the 2nd minute when he found space at the edge of the area and curled into far corner with pinpoint accuracy. Goalkeeper tried to make a save but Avil Khan’s shot went straight on target.

B.P.C.L’s Blessingson K. made efforts to score in 7th minute as he skipped Young Boys F.C’s Ahad Ansari and dragged the ball till the 6 yard area. He tried shooting on target but he failed to control the ball and missed a good chance.

5 minutes later B.P.C.L’s Baug gave a chip pass to Blessingson K inside the penalty box. He failed to control his shot which went wide towards left and went out.

Young Boys F.C Salik Ansari made attempts to score and had had most of the ball possession during the first half.He had the most attempts to score than any other player. He snatched the ball from the opponent player in the 20th minute and gave a cross to Avil Khan. Avil Khan’s shot was well saved by the goalkeeper.

Avil Khan’s efforts were materialized in the 22nd minute when he doubled the lead for his team. He received a chip form Zaki Ansari from midfield and Avil Khan directed his shot towards the goal and shot from close range. His shot went flying into the goal.

During the first half Young Boys F.C stepped up their attacks and B.P.C.L failed to cope with it. At the end of first half Young Boys F.C were leading by 2-0.

Young Boys F.C’s Avil Ansari tried to show his skills and make as many as attempts to increase the lead but he missed many such chances because he failed to control the ball as in 28th minute he received a pass from Salik Ansari from left wing. He dragged the ball but could not make it towards the goal as he fell while controlling the ball.

B.P.C.L’s Goalkeeper M.P.Shankaran saved the gracefor his team and collected each shot safely. Young Boys’ score would have been a lot higher had it not been for the B.P.L.C goalkeeper.

Young Boys F.C’s Avil Ansari efforts were well blocked by the goalkeeper in 38th minute when he smashed a shot from a free kick. Goalkeeper dived to his left in order to save the ball shot by Avil Ansari. Many such shots were saved by goalkeeper during the second half.

Young Boys F.C’s Avil Ansari gave his side a commanding lead in the 40thminute from a close range effort. His powerful shot was missed by goalkeeper and hit straight on target. Young Boys F.C were at 3-0.

5 minutes later Zaki Ansari who had missed a chance in first half compensated for  it when he scored the fourth goal for his team. B.P.C.L’s Blessingson tackled him but Zaki Ansari skipped past him and hit a smashing shot in the top corner.

The game was heading towards the finish and players were trying their best to build a piece of play to change the face of the game but Young Boys F.C. were firmly in control.

In the last minute Atif Ansari scored the final goal for its team. It was a simple pass received from left wing but Atif Ansari shot it on goal by controlling it and hitting it hard to hit on the target.

The Star players for this match was Avil Ansari for scoring two goals and directing every change towards the goal. The final result was Young Boys F.C winning. B.P.C.L had lost earlier match because of the lack of team work.
