Cletus Paul hattrick sinks a determined KSA side

Mumbai FC continues their impressive form as they thumped a determined Karnataka Sports Association (KSA) 5-2 on 13th November, 2015 at Cooperage Stadium, Churchgate in an Elite Division match of Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA).
Cletus Paul bagged a fantastic hattrick for Mumbai FC with Japanese recruit Taisuke Matsugae gave the victors an early lead while Sandesh Gadkari also got on the scoresheet. For Karnataka Sports Association (KSA) the goals came through Patrick Mascarenhas and Arihi Uchena.
It took Mumbai FC just 4 minutes to open the scoring, Ramu Shrikant’s cross met Sandesh Gadkari who flicked the loose ball towards Taisuke Matsugae, the Japanese recruit headed in perfectly to give Khalid Jamil’s side a deserving lead.

3 minutes later, Erik Brown danced his way through two Karnataka Sports Association (KSA) defenders, only to see his left footed drive saved by Kishan Sulegai.
Kishan Sulegai again proved to be the saviour for Karnataka Sports Association (KSA) as he once again showed good reflexes to deny Mumbai FC’s Gurtej Singh.
With a minute left in the first-half, Mumbai FC finally scored their second goal. Erik Brown’s free kick was met by Cletus Paul, who brilliantly headed his effort into the left bottom corner, leaving the score at 2-1 in Mumbai FC’s favour going into the break.
