Mumbai FC U-15 registers their second win in I-League U-15
On 13th November, 2015 Mumbai FC U15 registered yet another victory in HERO I-League U-15 when they overcame PIFA Colaba U-15 2-0 at Cooperage Stadium, Churchgate.
Clivert Dimers and Kamran Ansari scored in each half to start their U-15 I-League on a roll as they have two wins in their two games. Mumbai FC had defeated Kenkre FC in a similar fashion in their season opener.
Mumbai FC had the majority of ball possession in the first-half, attacking usually from the right flank, winger Ankit Saxena delivered number of fantastic crosses into the box before trying from long range as he saw his effort going over the bar on 3rd minute.
PIFA Colaba came close to score on 7th minute, Rayon Tamang’s header was just off target which could have broke the deadlock.
Mumbai FC finally broke the deadlock on 21st minute, when Clivert Dimers volleyed home from the edge of the box to give the boys in yellow a deserving lead.
Minute later, Clivert Dimers almost had his second when his header from Ankit Saxena’s cross whispered past the post.
PIFA Colaba’s Sahil More came close to equalize as his powerful drive from just outside the box sailed past the left post.
PIFA Colaba’s goalkeeper Laukik showed number of fantastic reflexes in both the half, had not for him the Colaba outfit would have conceded more than two.
With 17 minutes left, PIFA Colaba came very close to get the equalizer but somehow Mumbai FC managed to cleared the ball.
Akash Jadhav’s pin point cross met Rayon Tamang, whose header rattled the left post only to fell in PIFA Colaba’s Aniket Panchal’s way, who placed his shot into the right corner with Mumbai FC’s Jahan Waliya miraculously clearing off the line to gave Mumbai FC a huge relief.
It proved to be PIFA Colaba’s last opportunity to score a equalizer as Mumbai FC’s Kamran Ansari made it 2-0 with only 9 minutes left on the clock to put the final nail in the coffin.
