Century Rayon Dominate Madanpura S.C to win 2-0

Century Rayon defeated Madanpura S.C 2-0 in the 2nd division MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) Play-off match held at Xavier’s Ground ‘Parel’ on 14th April, 2015.

Thoychan Vashum and Shopam Lungleg were the goal scorers for the Century Rayon.

The opening few minutes in the match went with both Century Rayon and Madanpura SC trying to dominate the game.

The chance to score the opening goal came in the 12th minute itself for Century Rayon when Shopam Lungleg had to just finish the wonderful through ball put forth by Guljar but the Madanpura Goalkeeper, was quick enough to move forward and take custody of the ball.

4 minutes later, Madanpura S.C’s Ansari Kashif, Omkar and Ansari Uzair broke into a triangular pass but they weren’t able to convert their efforts into a goal.

But it was Thoychan Vashum’s efforts that helped Century Rayon with their first goal in the 22^nd minute. The goal pushed them into the lead as the first half ended 1-0.

The start of the second half came with an opportunity for Madanpura S.C to equalize as they got a penalty Kick which Zeeshan Khan failed to capitalize. The missed penalty made matters worse for the team as they lost their way into the game.

On the other hand it Boosted Century Rayon’s morale and they hit did back on Madanpura S.C with the 2^nd goal In the 41st minute with Shopam Lungleg scoring for Century Rayon as he dribbled passed Madanpura defenders and took a aim at the goal.

Both the teams had their own strategies but Century Rayon’s Long range passing skills worked for them and as the final whistle blew they had crushed Madanpura S.C 2-0.
