Campions comeback in the second half to beat Jamnabai

Jamnabai Narsee suffered their first loss 2-1 ( this season) in the hands of Campions high school 2-1, in the Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA ) boys U- 16 Division held on Thursday, 6 August.

Jamnabai Narsee players were attacking from the very first minute of the game. This put pressure on Campions defense which crumbled in the 22nd minute. Joshua Machado made a slight error in the box which Prajin Gandhi, easily converted into a goal.

Campions side seemed lost by the end of first half but soon came in stronger with Rayan Badhera scoring the much needed equalizer the very next minute of the second half.

The match literally changed from there as the equalizer made the Campion side more confident and they began attacking Jamnabai Narsee relentlessly.

Jay Maliye himself admitted that the second half goal by Rayan lifted their moral up and they began playing their natural game after that.

All Campions needed was a point which the draw would have brought them but Jay Maliye wasn’t satisfied with that. He found the Jamnabai goalie out of place and attempted a shot from the right wing which the goalie failed to save and in for a goal.

Rayan and Jay combined strikes helped Campions to end Jamnabai Narsee reign by 2-1. Campions would be facing the defending Champions St.Lawrence High School.
