MDFA League : Fantastic 4 Aniket Shipe shatters Juhu Beach United

In form Aniket Shipe’s four goals helped Desperados bag 3 easy points from their 1st division encounter against Juhu Beach United in the Mumbai District Football Association League (MDFA), played at St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Sunday evening.

This season Desperados fielded more of a different team as compared to last season, Coach Arik Dass and manager Jayesh Dadarkar have changed others perception towards the Desperados team. Surely their lethal weapon is Aniket Shipe who has now scored 5 goals in two matches, but all this was possible because of their midfield and defense doing their bit very effectively.

Aniket Shipe does have a striker’s sense of how to play in an opponent’s box, not once, not twice but he managed to hit the net 4 times, he grabbed his first in 7th minute when he latched onto a through ball from Kishor Bamania and nicely converted it into a goal. Just after 5 minutes his second goal came through Rajesh Damne. By now Aniket was in the mood, he completed his hat-trick by making a solo run from the half line and slotted home the ball beyond the Juhu Beach United’s goalkeeper in 26th minute. Kishor once again turned provider with his long through ball he nicely set up Aniket, who perfectly lobbed the ball over the onrushing goalkeeper to score his 4th goal.

The Juhu boys were very close to some scoring opportunities but they failed to convert their chances. If they had taken their chances at the right time we would have been in for a very interesting game towards the end. Rajesh Damne hit the cross bar twice, which came to the rescue of Juhu Beach United helping them keep the score line respectable.
