MDFA League: Bombay FC’s smooth ride to win over weak Chemburites

Royesten in action against Chemburites

It was a calculative performance by Bombay FC as they out played Chemburites and got a 3-0 win in their 1st Division League match of Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) played at St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Sunday afternoon.

Bombay FC got their first goal through Dylan with a neat finish in the 29th minute. It was the quality work from the Bombay FC midfield that they kept penetrating the Chemburites defence which resulted soon after 37th minute when Senario got an opportunity to score, and yes he did.

In the 2nd half Siddhant had a good time in the middle, jointly supported by Imran and they kept the momentum going for Bombay FC, but another player who had an outstanding display in the middle was Roysten with his cool head and sensible play. Just 10 minutes before the final whistle, the right winger Senario opened the play for the 3rd goal with an accurate cross towards Dylan who did justice to it by making no mistake with the finish.

Certainly it was a bad day for Chemburites as they couldn’t keep up to the quality of Bombay FC and struggled to keep possession of the ball.

Bombay FC do look like a close knit group, soon after the game they internally decide that the ‘Best Player Of The Match’ was Roysten for his brilliant display throughout the game. This team is surely a one to watch out for in this group of the MDFA 1st Division.
