MDFA: Veniza Virar FC edge Sterling FA to make it back to back wins
A close 1st division game ended in Veniza Virar FC favour while in third division Holy Cross United made easy work of Salcette FC
1st Division:
After a cagey start in to the game, Dhiraj Meher struck in the middle of first half to put Veniza Virar FC side in to lead. Despite continuous efforts in the second half, Sterling Das FA failed to break their opponents defence as the game ended at 1-0.

3rd Division:
Holy Cross United made it to the top of Group D after a comfortable 3-0 win over former group leaders Salcette FC. Ruark D’souza opened the scoring in the 10th minute to make it 1-0, two minutes later Allwyn D’souza doubled the lead with a clinical finish. Both the teams went to break at 2-0 score line but soon after restart; Holy Cross tripled the lead through Remy Fernandes’s strike as the game ended at 3-0
Game 2: Holy Cross United (Ruark D’souza 10’, Allwyn D’souza 12’, Remy Fernandes 27’) 3 – 0 Salcette FC
Goal FA picked up their first win of the campaign with a convincing 2-0 win over Fort United. Two early first half goal paved way for the win as Goal Academy hopped above fort United in the group K table to be placed at sixth spot. Rohan Burud’s eight minute goal was doubled by Moh. Sufiyan Khan four minutes later as Goal Football Academy went to win the game.
