MDFA: Miners FC edge Goans SA to make it two wins in a row

Another close win for Miners FC as they edge Goans SA to make it two wins in a row while Jupiter SC coast to a 3-0 win in 1^st division. Miracle FC, Oscar Foundation share spoils in 3^rd div.

1^st Division:

Jupiter Sports Club struck three in their win against Carmelites SC in 1^st division Group B game. Sachin Srivastav’s sixth minute strike sent Jupiter in to lead, which was soon doubled by Aniket Sorte before both teams headed in to break. Mid way through the second half Dhanraj Shetty made it 3-0 as the Jupiter won a comprehensive victory.

Game 1: Jupiter Sports Club (Sachin Srivastav 6’, Aniket Sorte 24’, Dhanraj Shetty 59’) 3 – 0 Carmelites SC

In a group A game, Miners FC made it two wins in a row after edging out Goans SA 1-0 in the afternoon fixture. After a goal les first half, Varun PV’s strike around the hour mark sent Miners in to a 1-0 lead. Despite some late attempts from Goans, Miners defence held strong, managing to secure the second 1-0 win in as many games of the campaign.

Game 2: Miners FC (Varun PV 57’) 1 – 0 Goans S.A.

In another 1^st division encounter, (MPC) FC India U19 team faced RSF B team for a group D fixture with the former edging out to a close 1-0 win. William Chettiar’s 16^th minute strike turned out to be the winner as FC India U19 secured all three points to start off their 1^st division campaign with the solitary goal win.

Game 3: (MPC) FC India U19 (William Chettiar 16’) 1 – 0 RSF (B)

3^rd Division:

In a 3^rd Division game, Miracle FC faced Oscar Foundation (B) team with both teams taking a point apiece from the game. Tony D’souza struck for Miracle while Faizal Shaikh was on score sheet for Oscar Foundation.

Game 4: Oscar Foundation (Faizal Shaikh) 1 – 1 Miracle FC (Tony D’souza)
